Engine Air Filter for Sprinter Vans

Your Sprinter's engine requires air for fuel to ignite in the combustion chamber. An engine air filter is present to allow a greater mixture of rich air to enter the chamber by trapping dust, debris, and pollen for greater airflow into the chamber. Trapping these particles ensures that the fuel-to-air mixture is richer in oxygen so the chemical reactions that take place provide sufficient energy for you to get from place to place.  Over time, your engine air filter gets dirty and clogged and lesser amounts of air can enter the chamber. Sprinter vans use a panel-type air filter, which are rectangular and made from various materials like cellulose, synthetic blends, or cotton gauze. When they get dirty, they need to be replaced to create more optimal engine operations.

• Ignition Problems: If your air filter is dirty, it can impair the amount of airflow that reaches your engine's combustion chamber which may lead to impaired performance.
• Acceleration is slow: If the air filter is dirty, your vehicle's performance potential may not be optimized. If there is a "jerky" feeling that occurs during acceleration, your filter may be old and dirty.
• Filter looks filthy: If your filter looks gray and dirty, you need a new filter.
